Step 4: You can find all the discoverable media service that is present on your Local network. ![]() ![]() Make sure your server is on and connected to your local Wi-Fi network. EDITOR’S CHOICE: Plex (Plex) Pros: Fast and intuitive user interface Easy setup Provide cover art, music videos, trailers, and more Cons: Many features require a subscription or lifetime pass. Step 3: Now open the VLC Media Player on the Amazon Fire TV Stick, navigate down unless you find the ‘Browsing’ tab and when you are there, select ‘Local Network’ and open it. It wouldn't connect to the media server again, I ve done a factory reset on this has well to no avail. Both your iOS device and your computer will need to be on the same Wi-Fi network for this to work. My Logitech Boom can no longer connect to the media server and prior to switching to Pusnet was working all fine, I ve done a factory reset and reconfigured the Logitech player but still will not see the media server.Īlso my Sony Internet Tv normally just pick up Serviio Media sharing service running on the media server but now that has stopped working as well. atc98092 wrote:To expand on what Meelis said, while Serviio has the ability to offer media remotely, you wont be able to use the usual DLNA player in your TV remotely.DLNA only functions on a local network, and can not be routed over the Internet. I have a media Server Which has my music and Video files which I connect to via the network but this has stopp ed working since. I moved my O2 broadband to Plusnet which is fine connection wise however since joining Plusnet my Media sharing has stopped working. Prior to Joining Plusnet about 1 month ago, I was using both O2 and BT broadband and aside from the up to 20MB speed everything worked fine as it should.
